My first newsletter hit cyberspace on August 14, 2013. Subscription rate has been beyond awesome, and my stats look reasonably good.
However, maintaining the blog, writing a book, attending a class, AND sending out the newsletter bi-weekly is a bit much sometimes.
So, my plans are to try for the next three months sending the newsletter out once a month on the second Wednesday. An exception will be if there is something exploding in writing or memoir news that I think is important enough for a special issue.
What I’d really appreciate is hearing from you, my loyal followers and subscribers. I’d love to know how you feel about this change and how it affects your level of loyalty and continuation as a subscriber.
If you’re uncomfortable having someone else see your comments, please don’t hesitate to use my Contact Form or email me at salice78(at)comcast(dot)net.
Great idea Sherrey. We all have so much to contend with life alone, let alone our writing, posting, and keeping up socially. I personally can’t read blogs that are posted every day and tend to miss a lot of good stuff by not being able to read from daily posters but we all have to sacrifice something. I love reading your posts and newsletters. I have no doubts that even with once a month, you shall keep us well informed! I’m all for it! 🙂
Debby, I consider it a matter of survival and commitment to completing my memoir. I’ll do my best to bring my newsletter subscribers the best I can curate.
No doubts you will Sherrey. 🙂
Sherrey,I applaud you for doing what works best for you and your schedule. Once a month newsletter is fine with me. You’ve reminded me I haven’t written mine yet 🙂
Dolly, we all love applause but especially when it comes from those we respect and admire. Thanks for your positive feedback and there’s no charge for the reminder! 🙂
Sherrey, I think the schedule that works best for you will be fine. Once a month seems very reasonable especially based on all you are doing. I am in the process of setting up a newsletter and plan to start monthly. Good Luck!
Kathy, thank you for your affirming words. You know as well as I do to finish a book one must write, and not just newsletters and blog posts. 🙂 I appreciate your weighing in on my decision.
